The church at Roadside of Kinneff, was used for worship until 2010. It had been linked with the congregation of Arbuthnott in 1967, sharing a minister with that congregation. In 1974, a new manse was built beside Kinneff Church. However, by 1990, there were further changes when the linkages had been revised again and Arbuthnott Church became linked with Inverbervie, and Kinneff linked with Stonehaven South Church. This was maintained until Arbuthnott, Bervie and Kinneff Church became a union in 2007.

Worship services were held on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 10 am, with Arbuthnott having the first and third Sunday. After a congregational meeting in April 2010, it was decided to close the church due to the numbers attending worship being unsustainable. Kinneff Church closed on Sunday 13 June 2010, where a service of celebration took place. The former Kinneff church was converted into a private house in 2015.

It is less well known than Old Kinneff Church, where the Scottish Crown Jewels were once hidden. Old Kinneff Church Preservation Trust now owns the building which is still in occasional use for private events. The Kinneff Old building was last used for regular worship in 1976 due to the population in the very rural Kinneff area reducing. Subsequently, there was not the same need for two church congregations in Kinneff. Some of the oldest members of ABK Church remember regularly worshipping in the Old Church building.

You can find more history of the Old Church through the Kinneff Old Trust website.

While we no longer have a physical church presence in the Kinneff area any longer, we have many of God's people who live in that area, bearing witness to the goodness of Jesus each day.
